Sasha Case is a British filmmaker and screenwriter who grew up in a small village in the south of France. Her love of film began through the movies she watched growing up, particularly the character-driven coming-of-age films of the 1980s. During the Covid-19 lockdown, Sasha discovered screenwriting through online workshops with the Young Film Academy, which inspired her to write, direct and act in her first short film.

She went on to study English Literature and Cinema for her French Baccalaureate before continuing her filmmaking education through courses at L’IDEM Creative Arts School, the Young Film Academy and MetFilm School. She is currently completing a BA (Hons) in Practical Filmmaking at MetFilm School in London, where she has developed a particular interest in screenwriting, directing, character development and visual storytelling.

Alongside her studies, Sasha has written and directed a range of short films across fiction, horror and documentary, including Six of Cups, a coming-of-age story exploring identity and transition, and Witch!, a psychological folk-horror set during the 17th-century witch trials. Her work is often character-driven, exploring themes of identity, relationships, isolation and the darker sides of human behaviour.

Sasha is about to graduate from MetFilm School and will continue her studies at London Film School, where she will undertake an MA in Screenwriting. She is developing her practice as a writer-director, with a particular interest in emotionally complex characters, distinctive worlds and stories that explore the darker sides of human behaviour.
